A delegation from The French Institute visited KES on Wednesday 9th November. They were welcomed by Mrs. Carew, Senior School Principal, Mr Naylor, Head of French, and Miss Kozaily, French teacher. The purpose of the visit was to receive a cheque with the funds raised during KES French Day 2016. The total of KD 800, will go towards the charity Medecins sans Frontieres (Doctors without Borders) to support their humanitarian assistance programmes. Thank you all for your generous contributions.
During the visit, Mr Cedric Devais, director of The French Institute, proposed scholarships in France, courses at The Institute for our students and staff and various educational visits.
We are extremely excited and we look forward to working closely with them in the future and further exposing our students to French culture and language.
